What to do when you just want to give up on God...

but half of you doesnt wants to let go of him? I just feel like im in between the world and God hands. Im trying to hold on to Him but the world keeps pulling me back. Sometimes i fall into the world but i just try to get back up to God but I feel like im struggling. I really need help right now. Im just waiting for that spiritual breakthrough where i can just jump into Gods hand! and just forget about the world. Any advice?

Never give upon god because he won't ever give up on you! i was going through something not too long ago
and i almost gave up. I'd tried so many times to get back my feet, but i kept failing. Then i realized that when
you let the world and your desires get in the way of your relationship with god, it creates a gaping hole between you and him.
once you learn to let go of the world (or your past) or whatever is separating you from him, you can never truly
be free. Once you let go, it just seems like the world around you stops as you run into the arms of god. Mabye
you have an attachment to the world that you dont even know exists. Just pray that god would help you to give up
all things that are getting in the way of your relationship so that you may draw closer to him.

Do what's natural. More often than not I would find myself coming back to God in my own time. If I tried to force myself, it would feel un-natural and not authentic.

Anyway, I know what you mean. You just have to keep praying even when it feels like He isn't listening. Pray in the good and bad times, and pray that he would ease the temptation to stray from Him. I know it can get hard, but I've found that sometimes, life can be like Footsteps story, where when life gets tough and you feel that God has left you alone, He's actually carrying you on His shoulders. I'm making no qualms about man's perceived nature, my point was don't try and force yourself into praising God when you don't want to. I only ever felt results when I was praying when I wanted to.

I doubt telling someone to give up on something when they're reaching out for help is wise.

Father I pray for your daughter, she desperately wants and needs you in her life. Hear her cry oh Lord! She needs you more now than ever! May she feel your loving arms around her and your loving mercies overwhelm her. Father, You are all she needs...May she see that You are her everything. everything she could ever want and desire. I got closer to God from a book. I wanted to have 'that connection' and so I started out forcing myself to pray and memorize verses, and as I did that I realized 2 months later that my connection was real. So what I'm trying to say is to hang in there, but give it time and good luck
