I had "Love Story" in my head all day [Taylor Swift]. Which was kinda bad, kinda funny, cause I had a whole lot of standardized testing stuff. I'm just glad the proctors didn't think I was cheating, cause I was mouthing the words to myself.

I'm also a music-o-holic. I usually wake up and have a random song stuck in my head. Haha. So this last year I broke with my Christian upbringing to only listen to Christian music and became OBSESSED with virtually every type of music and was intentionally oblivious to how the lyrics, concepts, and the motive behind the music was effecting me. I sort of woke up and realized that I was allowing myself to mull over secular views and perspective over and over in my head in the form of lyrics. Without realizing it, these were sort of changing my opinion of myself and people around me and I became desensitized to worldly things and even accepted stuff and held ideas I would have never let take control of me before. I think one of the greatest downfalls of this generation is our failure to notice how we let the media dictate what is on our minds and ultimately our opinions. It's scary and I felt I needed to try something extreme to make a statement to myself, God, my friends and family, and Satan. So, for now I'm listening to solely Christian music. Sometimes you just have to cut the poison at the source. It was so painful to clear my ipod - I went from 650 songs to 200.
