I do intend getting it at some point, probably after exams. Along with a few other vaccinations I need.

I was never really caught up in the whole "OMGOSH SWINE FLU IS SCARY" epidemic.

I always viewed the issue as classic American xenophobia, the World Health Organisation wanting publicity and general public mania, a child in Mexico dies because of a disease so we must make a big deal out of it (Mexico, of course, is dirty and the people there are not too desirable). Further the World Health Organisation just melts whenever someone mentions their name on television. And lastly, people scare when Fox News flashes bright lights with xenophobic and racist statements as if the world will end. The rest of the world's media just happened to take them more seriously this time.

Lastly, I'm glad I wasn't one of the 60,000 people who died this year from the regular flu.

I think H1N1 is nothing but a social phenomenon: it exists, but society makes it look a lot worse than it actually is.
Therefore no, I will not get vaccinated. I dont trust the vaccine anyway, I bet I get better chance in contracting the flu that way.

And supposadly, the people who got the flu shot last year have 50% more chance of contracting H1N1. Irony reigns supreme.

What Josh said. A few people I know have alreay had swine flu. Apparently it's not even as bad as normal flu. I'm confident my immune system will take care of me, as it did with chicken pox, scarlet fever etc ... after all, none of my ancestors died young from flu, or I wouldn't be here!

My mom and dad are refusing to get me any vaccines anymore, because my big sister has seizures regularly because of the Guardasil shot. So, if I turn into a little piggy tomorrow, blame my parents!

I voted yes. Though I haven't made plans to get it yet, if the spread of the disease becomes worse I will.
In other words, maybe.

No I'm not, I see no need for me to get it.
I have a deep conviction about taking medicine, I do not think that it's wrong, it's just not for me.

You left out an option for an "I don't know" or a "Maybe" or something. So I'll hypothetically vote for that.

Yep, next week.

Rather get the vaccine then take a chance and get the actual flu itself, when it's targeting young healthy people. My life is too important to me not to get it. happy.gif

Nope. Having already contracted h1n1 getting the vaccine would be pointless. Oh by the way, its really not that big of a deal. Didn't keep me out of class or work.

Everyone at my school is getting the vaccine, especially after the death of my ex, who died of swine flu. I am not so sure yet. I am a big baby about needles and such, also with all the symptoms I'm not sure its worth it. I'm going to wait and see.

Nope. I know several people who have gotten it. They are perfectly fine. As long as you take vitamins and eat right and wash your hands and stuff, you should be able to keep away the flu and swine flu. No biggie.

Hmm...willingly take a vaccine that has not been tested long enough, does not have a track record, has relatively unknown ingredients, and contains mercury, a known neurotoxin? I think not.
