No, actually, it sounds like two people who had to wade through a sea of bureaucracy because the state rejected a document for referring to them as "bride" and "groom." I don't think you'd want your marriage certificate rejected over something clerical like that, were you ever to marry.[/b]

It wasn't their place to try and rewrite a legal document so of course it was going to be rejected. Many people get married everyday in California and Massachusetts with no problem being referred to as "Party A" and "Party B" in a legal document.

Is it a coincidence that the people who are most upset by this just so happen to be not so big fans of gay marriage? And perhaps it's more about that then what is written on a piece of paper, a legal document. Not a religious one.
