  1. Salvation is exclusively God's work (monergistic) by his grace, so those whom he chose for salvation cannot be lost again. Jesus said, "I give them eternal life (not temporary life), and they shall never perish..." Believers are kept by God's power, not theirs. =)
  2. Unregenerates love their sin, they don't seek God apart from his intervention..."No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him." They cannot obey God's law until they're converted. How do I witness to people? I share the gospel of God's grace to them as scripture commands, and if God has chosen them to salvation he will grant them repentance and faith.
  3. Everyone is born with a sin nature and deserves hell; babies are not born in an innocent state. Their eternal destiny rests upon God’s sovereign decree. Rest assured that God will do what is just and gives him the glory. =)
  4. The atonement is particular and substitutionary, so Christ actually obtained eternal salvation for God's elect. His sacrifice is connected with his priesthood. Hebrews 7:24-25 says, "But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." Does everyone benefit from the intercessory work of the high priest? No. Those that Jesus intercedes for are those that he died for and those whom he saves completely (God's elect alone). If he bore God's wrath and died for everyone without exception, everyone would be saved (i.e. universalism which is heresy). Also, libertarian free-will does not square with scripture. Salvation is not dependent on fallen man's volition or cooperation but is based on Divine choice. When it comes to spiritual matters, fallen man only chooses what is consistent with his enslaved nature - sin.
  5. I don't think we will be able to disagree with God as we our sinful nature would have been eradicated - glorification.
  6. Sin originated from within him. He was enticed by his own desire then sin was brought forth as James 1:14-15 puts it.
  7. Interesting discussion. I speculate that God created the angels sinless but with unrestrained will, and Lucifer chose to hold pride and jealousy in his heart.
  8. I voted "yes", but even when I'm swimming among all girls I still maintain modesty in my appearance Two-piece swimsuits are not my forte.
  9. God does everything for His glory. He is completely sovereign over all creation. In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will. Ephesians 1:11 ESV
  10. I say "fall". "Autumn" sounds archaic.
  11. Jesus died on behalf of His sheep and accomplished full salvation for them. John 10:11 ESV
  12. That's a great article. Salvation is entirely the work of God through His grace and not a cooperative effort between man and God. Woohoo! Ephesians 2:5 ESV
  13. Wait, did you say you can't wear skirts and dresses that are above your ankles or ones with slits? Wow.
